Bank Stories contributed to me from some members.....
1. A member went into a bank this past week in ________, where he does business. He had talked with the manager several times about our currencies. This time, the manager hurried out to him and said, "I will be calling you on the 24th, both you and your brother, about what you have been talking to me about. I cannot say anything more till then." He had been talking about IQD and VND.
2. On Friday a member asked their bank manager if there was any news about Forex rate changes coming. The manager went to his computer to read the general currency screen and found a memo saying "major changes coming soon, reboot computers on Monday so changes can take effect."
3. A member was in his/her bank on Friday asking about the rate on dong. No rate showed up at all, anywhere! The Bank manager told them that only happens when the rate is getting ready to change and to check back tomorrow. (Apparently, that bank is open on Saturday, I am awaiting an update.)
Bonus Info:
A member had communicated with TSA on an app called ASK TSA. They were inquiring about any restrictions carrying foreign currency on a flight. They were told, "If entering the US from abroad they must declare anything over $10,000.00 CASH to customs. If traveling domestically there is no need to declare. There is no limit on the amount of money you can take in or out of the USA, just on declaring it."
NOTICE: Do NOT put any currency of any kind in your checked luggage, have it in your carry-on's.
